Amsterdam massages for travellers over fifty

Amsterdam massages, written up for a guest over fifty: someone who has stayed in more hotels than he can count, knows how he likes an evening to run and would rather have the arrangements explained than implied. A therapist comes to your room, the steps are laid out plainly, and the pace is yours to set.

The short answer

  • She comes to you, at the address you are already using
  • Forty to sixty minutes across the listed districts
  • Half ahead on a first booking, with the total written first
  • Twenty-one or over, guests and therapists alike

Everything on this page is arranged in one thread. There is no form to fill in and no account to open.

What this page assumes, and what it leaves alone

It assumes you have travelled a good deal and that you read carefully rather than skim. It assumes you would like the whole picture before writing a word to anyone. It assumes nothing about your health, your fitness or your reasons, and it makes no claim about what a massage might do for any of them. What is on offer is an evening arranged properly, in a room you have already chosen, with someone whose attention is on you. Anything beyond that is for you to ask and for her to decide.

Amsterdam massages arranged the way you already travel

Experienced travellers book ahead. A table for the second night, a seat on a particular train, a room on a high floor away from the lift. A massage can be arranged the same way, days or weeks before the trip, and many guests of this site do precisely that. A booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead carries half the fee in advance, so a two hour session is held for you once half of what it costs has been sent. From then on it sits in the thread, agreed and written down, and the rest is paid when she arrives. Deciding on the evening itself works too; forty to sixty minutes is the usual wait in the centre.

A length that suits the evening you have in mind

Sixty minutes is a complete booking, but guests who find their way to this site tend to find it brisk. Ninety minutes allows a quarter of an hour to settle before anything starts and still leaves the slow part intact. Two hours is the length for those who want no sense of the clock at all. Three hours suits a free evening on a long trip. The overnight, eight hours held as one block, is a different kind of booking altogether, and most people take it once, for one particular night.

The room, made comfortable in advance

A few small things decide how an evening feels. Turn the heating up about an hour before she is due, because lying still for two hours calls for a warmer room than sitting in an armchair does. Switch off the ceiling light and use a lamp instead. If the bed is low or very soft, mention it in the thread; she can work around most beds, and knowing beforehand helps her. Extra pillows are worth asking housekeeping for during the afternoon. She brings her own towels and oil, so nothing else is needed from the room.

Who knocks at the door

Twenty-three therapists keep hours with the house, and every one of them is twenty-one or over. Each has a profile showing her age, her languages, the district she travels from and photographs of her, published with her agreement. You can name one in your first message, or describe the evening and let the reply tell you who is free. She decides which bookings she accepts and what a session includes, and she tells you her limits in her own words before it starts.

The figures, written once and never buried in small print

For one guest with one therapist the hourly rate simply multiplies by the length, up to three hours, and the overnight is a separate block costing less than eight single hours would. Two of you sharing her pays the hourly rate twice over, and two of you with a woman each pays it four times over. A single guest with two therapists pays that same doubled rate. Nothing is added for evenings, weekends or the journey inside the ring. Every profile on the roster repeats the table, so it is always within reach.

When the itinerary shifts

Travel plans move, and the rules allow for it. One change of date is free, provided you ask more than twenty-four hours before the booked time and the new date falls within fourteen days. A cancellation more than a day ahead returns the whole deposit. Within the last twenty-four hours, while she has not yet left, half of it is kept. Once she is on her way, all of it is kept, unless another guest takes the hour, in which case it comes back to you. You are never liable for anything beyond that.

If you are travelling with a partner

Many guests over fifty travel as a pair, and some book together on one evening and separately on another; both patterns are common and neither needs explaining. A couple can share one therapist for twice the rate one guest pays, or take a therapist each for twice that again, and the second arrangement needs a larger room, with space for two people on either side of the bed. Both of you have to have agreed before anything is booked, and the thread will ask which arrangement you mean if the first message leaves it open.

Arrival, and the first quarter hour

From your confirmation to her knock is forty to sixty minutes anywhere in central Amsterdam. Airport hotels at Schiphol are arranged separately, and the journey time is agreed with you before anything else is fixed. When she arrives, nothing begins at once. She sits down, the two of you settle the warmth, the light and the pace, and she says where her limits lie. Guests over fifty mention this unhurried opening more often than anything else about the evening.

Writing the first message

Five lines are enough: where you are, the date and the hour, the length, a name or a description, and whether there are two of you. There is no need to explain why you are writing or to apologise for the years since your last booking of this kind. The booking page lists the steps in order, and the tantra page describes the format many guests of this site choose for a first evening.
